Just a thought as someone pointed out to me thanks but with the grand prix on at silverstone the m40 going there will be a bloody nightmare as there are road works on that junction and going a mile in either dierction suggest you go up the m1 as this will be plain sailing from the m40 to the m1 it only takes 15 mins and would probably save a lot of time in the long run there will be a mini meet at the hemel junc of the m1 shell petrol station at 8.30 am plus will slao meet peps at toddington

Bearing in mind that silverstone is twixt M40 & M1, then there might be a "bit" of congestion on the M1 as well...

Alternate route (for gossy anyway & the Kent Posse) is M11, A14 through to M1... or make it S Mimms & A1(M) to A14...

Thankfully I can get on at Junction 16 and miss it all!

But living around that area, I dont remember the traffic bringing the motorway to a standstill.
