Nokia Content Copier

Supports the 7110 as the source phone

Just copied all info via content copier. (including numbers/names/groups/group grpahics etc.)

So this bit of software successfully knows about multiple numbers/name. The contact manger software in the same suite doesn't.

Thanks for you efforts Chris.

Nokia...nice phones but cr*p software ;)

Currently have company nokia 7110 - its being swapped for a 6210. No choice so dont tell me I need an ercison X456J Mk 2 Dumpvalve ;)

I like the way the 7110 stores multiple Numbers per Name (but that means numbers are stored on the phone - not the sim). Apparently the 6210 does the same..(not sure about phone/sim storage bit)

I have the 7110 set up as a modem on my Laptop (Win2K) but have no address book management S/W

Whats the best (free) S/W to take the phone book from my 7110 and transfer to the 6210 in the Many Numbers/1 name configuration ?

Thanks

Deano

A colleague already has a 6210 and according to him (and on-line help) Data Suite 4.03 can't show more than one entry / name.

So not sure if that will copy all the numbers ?

Cant use phonesync (the nokia download for 7110 as my phone S/W is too old :( )

Let me find my DLR cable and I can try it (W2000 with PC Suite 4.x)

Certainly storing names/nums on the phone rather than SIM allows multiple numbers per contact.

Hmm, the Phone Editor 4.0 doesn't show the multiple numbers.

Not sure if Content Copier will copy them or not then.

Just grabbing PC Suite 4.06 to see if it's any better.

220kb/sec - mmm :D

Thanks Chris :D

Found a shareware one that definately does multiple numbers but dont fancy shelling out $39 just to transfer my numbers 'cos I'm tight ;)

Is that LogoManager?

ChrisB 02 July 2002 01:08 PM

Two reboots later (uninstall 4.05, reboot, install 4.06, reboot) Nope, no change in 4.06.

Bear in mind Phone Editor is used for looking at contacts / sending SMS etc, whilst Content Copier is a seperate stand alone app in PC Suite so might well do multi numbers per contact.

Oxygen Phone Manager for 7110/6210

S/W Eval looks OK. but will only write 25 Numbers

Seems to do all the number bits, logos, sms, WAP Boomarks() profiles etc.
