I'm thinking about upgrading the TMIC on my MY95. Anyone know which would be best, a TMIC off than STi or a chargecooler off a Legacy?

Thanks.

Anyone got any comments?

Either of those would be better I think. Your car has the slanted intercooler?

A cheap and easy solution would be an STI top mount, they are larger, more fins etc, and easy to fit, I think you can get one for £200 from Townend garage.

I have a legacy, so it has a charge cooler as standard, main hassle would be getting a rad, the cooler itself, and plumbing it in. You don't need a header tank, as it's built in to the cooler itself. As for a pump, get a Craig Davies 30-80L/min pump from Merlin Motorsport. I don't know how much the charge cooler would cost.

I guess it would be best to fit a FMIC upgrade. But it will be more expensive.

Depends, all come down to available air flow.

Air/water better for drag racing or stop start acceleration.

air/air better for race track because you have a good air flow over the fins.

Thanks for your comments, I think I'll go with the TMIC because I will be easier to fit.
