The gauge pod was from a group buy on here a while back organized by MattH. Try http://www.j-spec.co.uk. The gauges were from Jamie at JW Racing.

As for the Interior Paintwork, it was done at the place where i work, Spraytech Coatings in Darlington. We do all types of plastic and Metal Coatings so the interior bits were a piece of piss!!!!!!

if you speak to nito at nitosport he will have a carbon kit for your car and if you speak to him nicely he will most probably fit it as well as they are on an exchange basis and need to be in tip top condition looks the nuts as well

Have a MY96, got rid of seats for some tasty leather buckets, just need to get door cards trimmed to match.

Now fed up of looking at boring dash, has anyone put in a dash kit from Nitosport, Graham Goode or anyone else? If so, got any pictures and how easy are they to fit.

Failing that, has anyone fitted the Momo handbreak as mentioned in the other post on here to a MY96 or similar? Got to start somewhere!

Thanks

Chris

Ive got a 96 with grey leather, and I would like some better sportiers seats - where did you get yours?

Apart from that I am totally usuelss to you :D

I got mine from Grade-A Subaru, speak to Andy on 01663 744 114, he's a good lad and will help you fit them if you can drive all the way down to Derbyshire. Has all different types of bucket seats coming in all the time, expect to pay about £350.00 to £400.00 plus VAT though.

Alternatively, keep an eye out in the for sale section, they're usually snapped up pretty quickly so you can't hang around.

Not only do the buckets out of a later model look much better, they also offer much more support, so for pre-97 scoobs like ours, they're a must have.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Well i did the white dial thing, with sum breakage & expense (long story:p), which has improved look. I'm now awaiting nitosport gear knob surround 2 turn up from group buy along with gear knob which should again improve look, just gora buy quickshift now b4 i can install it;) there r sum nice momo handbrake knobs if u wana ditch than dull thing also as per momo handbrake I already have bucket seats as it's a MY97 & i dunno as i'd want leather anyhow but wotever floats yer boat:) Steering wheel wood also improve look but i think i shall stick with my busmans wheel as while it looks like shyte if perish the fort i twatted my car i'd like air bags 2 save my butt:eek: Regards surrounds i also looked at this but didn't like the alleged quality & definate expense of the stuck on kits so following much thread reading(if u hang around 4 search 2 kum back or just set so u can look at old threads then i'm sure u'll c sum) it turns out trouser painted his surrounds in a titanium finish & it does look boss as per http://upload.turbosport.co.uk/getpi...5620159343.jpg & i'm sure if u call him @ TSL he will talk u thru how it's dun although u shud find details in previous threads;) I'm still guna do it but may get surrounds off a breaker 1st so i can take me time but gora wait till credit card recovers from all these damn group buys:p

Chris I have changed dash for set from Nomad racing, white dials for day time and electro luminescent (spelling) at night, it looks like an indiglo watch, bright blue but also has greens and a dimmer, looks excellent, also got momo gear knob and nito leather gaitor with chrome surround, I'd definitely recommend the gear surround as the standard looks naff. Thinking about spraying up the surrounds but got brakes and bits to sort first. No pic's I'm afraid but if you set interior to last 30 days you may find dash pics, if not post again and I'll find the thread for you. Also dash involves no needle removal which is good

Hey needle removal is fun i broke 2 rev counters, my advice is use the power of a soldering iron & melt em off, presuming u have a spare & save yerself hassle of busting em;)

All three look quality and big improvement over standard trim, only problem is I'm not exactly handy andy and wouldn't dream of trying to do it myself.

Are there places that carry out these type of mods or should I give up now.

Mark, like the pillar gauges, where did you get them, how much, who can fit them etc etc.

Cheers

Forgot to say, do they do an alloy kit (not the right word, shiny metal.....you know what I mean) as opposed to the Carbon effect.

Anyone got any pictures of a kit actually fitted.

Chris
