Permanently disable 03 wrx alarm
Is there any way I can do this. Alarm has been going off even with battery at good charge. It went off at 3 am this morning and even when I started the car and drove it away from house, alarm was still shrieking and took several minutes to go off!

Whats triggering the alarm?
|
I don't know. I think it is dodgy and super sensitive. Halfords battery less than three years old. They tested it and reckon it is still good. Alarm did also go off once whilst driving on motorway. Found a hack on youtube I will see if works holding down lock button with door open.. Disconnected battery currently. Perhaps cold weather and alarm super sensitive to low voltage. Driving me nuts!

Probably the hacks on youtube relate to the US models different alarm system.
UK model - OEM fit is Sigma M30 alarm. Check in the Security forum for info |
disarm start engine ,switch off engine and lock doors from driver side doors button than driver side with key.It should not go off that way if battery is good.

Doesnt the Sigma give an indication of what the trigger was when you disarm it?
I know the S30 does on my 01 Bugeye, thats why I asked. M30 "Displaying the Last Trigger: Last trigger displayed by dashboard LED. (following pressing *38 – see previous table) Number of flashes = circuit shown below. Number of Flashes Trigger Circuit Number of Flashes Trigger Circuit 1 Ignition Trigger 8 Bonnet Trigger 2 Door Trigger 16 Ultrasonic Trigger 4 Boot Trigger" I cant see my S30 manual yet. |
There is a thread about this in security. I think the solution is just to get to the box and disconnect circuit board and siren. I think this is a damp issue setting it off.

I will certainly not be posting on a open forum how to do what you want tbh. |
In Australia we had Brandt fitted oem.
wasnt until 08 we got the sigma’s. I’ve experienced headaches with both,Firstly my 05 Brandt key pad- which I figured out soldering a few wires on the circuit board, not only stopped the problem it still had keypad flashing as it was active. last week my 2011 STI wouldn’t accept my code,I could clutch start as I heard pump prime. I pulled it apart and noticed some wires had come loose,re-solder and running fine now. |
