CLASSIC BATTERY TERMINAL QUESTION ?!

Anyone know the thread diameter & pitch for the battery terminals on a Classic?

the pinch bolts are M6 (10mm hex) but the battery terminals are a solid pole approx 15mm diameter??

I need M6 x 1mm nuts. I've ordered those long nut bar things, as it does my head in the limited access to get a spanner in.
