WRX spun bearing
 

I unknowingly brought a 2002 WRX with a spun main bearing. I’m looking for advice on what to do.
I have stripped the engine and found a couple of the main bearings have scratched the crankshaft and the con rods.
I’m able to rebuild the engine my self or I have found a turbo forester engine I could put in it, from a wreckers(unknown kilometres). Apparently it was pulled out because the gearbox blew. Im wondering if they are the same engine and if I can put it in the car with the original ECU.
