Door central locking signal wire colour

I've installed an electronic boot kit on my levorg so that the boot opens at a press of a button. All's great except it doesn't open from the key fob as the instructions says it can. ( press open 3 times to open it and 3 times to close it)

If I press the button in the boot, the Boot handle, or the aftermarket button in the dash, it opens and closes perfectly.

The chinese instructions say to cut into the yellow signal wire, which I've done but I could only get it to open the boot by pressing the lock button 3 times. Not great having the boot open when locking it.

A video shows a German guy cutting a green / light blue wire at the top left of the connection block in the door and not yellow, so I'm wondering if the instructions are wrong?

The instructions also say about holding down a button to 'learn the box the desired height' but its already the desired hight.
I've tried holding the button down, waiting for the beep and then pressing the key fob buttons but it does nothing.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the driver side door loom in the centre pillar? Are all subarus the same?

Is this only on the 2020 onwards revised models?

Are all subarus the same?
Depends what you mean by the same.
In general they are but most markets have specifics that differ.
eg:
European RHD cars come with double locking door locks whereas other markets are single lock.
The US has specific requirements for pcv monitoring and lighting requirements.

It was not until the MY08 Hatch that the European Impreza range came with a BIM/BIU (Body Integrated Module/ Body Integrate Unit)
whereas the US and Japan have had them in their Impreza wiring systems since about 2003.
Sometimes but not always JDM models can have different colours for some wiring circuits.

JDM wiring diagrams are not that easy, if not impossible to get hold off.

What is this yellow wire supposed to be connecting to?? What are the wire colours for the 8 pin connector? Your images are not very specific.

I believe this is the plug you are looking at (R10)

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...4528034b96.jpg
and these are the colours for a Euro LHD model LH rear door (single lock) (keyless access and keyless entry have the same wiring colours for the door locks)

plus Power window

As there are many Chinese aftermarket power tailgate accessory kits, any links to your specific model as the screen capture you posted is virtually unreadable even on a 28" 4K monitor.

The kit was from ali express for models from 2014

There's no mention of holding the fob near the boot to auto open, but press the boot button 3 times.

The screen shots were taken off my phone so no wonder on a large screen they look pants.
They were after translating from Chinese too.
The chinese instructions say to tap into the signal wire of the central locking, which they say is yellow.

The youtube video is here, the screen shot was from 10.47 in.

Also, here is the instructions that are found via a qr code on the main box that all the wires plug in to.

it will take you here:

This image from the german vid, shows the Door cord (D22) side of the connector
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...40df07015b.jpg
Where
Pin 8 is Light Green (LG): Pin 7 is Red (R): Pin 6 is Red/Black (R/B): Pin 5 is White/Red (W/R): Pin 4 is Green/Red (G/R)

Pin 3 is Green/Yellow (G/Y): <Space> <Space>: Pin 2 is empty; Pin 1 is White/Green (W/G)
This colour scheme corresponds with the images supplied in my first post for a European LHD model.

In the video they are pointing out Pin 8, the Light Green wire as the 12v central locking control signal to which the tailgate kit yellow wire should be connected.

Looking at your photos you "appear" to be connecting to the (R10)side of the connector on the Rear loom assembly, rather than the (D22) part of the door loom which appears half poking out of the B pillar on the right of the pictures.

Thats fine, but wires can change colour between two halves of a connector ( as shown in images in my first post) and what maybe yellow on your rear loom may not be yellow on the door cord. (I mentioned JDM wiring colours can be different from EU/UK models)
From your photo it is not clear which pin the yellow wire, you've connected to, actually goes to.

In focus pictures of both plug and socket showing the wire entries would help.
But if the yellow you've connected to goes to pin 8 then the problem lies elsewhere.

I had to remove the boot between the door and B pillar to get more leverage on the other side of the connector but doing this revealed the exact same colour wires as the German car!

I connected to the peach wire this side of the C pillar and voila it all works.

I really can't thank you enough and I do feel it's time I buy you a tank of V power.

Thank you again Don sooo much.
