Exhaust Noise
 

I got a japspeed downpipe with 200 cell sports cat leading to a straight through pipe all the way through a Afterburner Vortex back back.

Its loud but I want louder can’t afford a Blitz Nur Spec system or anything similar so was thinking if I go decat on the downpipe and possibly go with the Afterburner Xtreme backbox would there be much difference in exhaust note.

Has anyone got an Xtreme attached? Possibly any vids of it running?

Bigger bore pipe from cat back , but more risk of drone , a standard cat to sports cat or decat would need a least a map check but more likely a re map , other option is no back box , or get a custom back box done , how loud do you want to go 👍😁

on my wrx decat gave somthing special to the sound, in the cab i had additional aka hammer in the vice noise , i really liked it.

Wow that sounds too loud too me lol. Get a custom exhaust made from down pipe to back box straight through.

You want loud?
True straight pipe.
Remove cat and remove the back box, replace with pipe and that's going to be as loud as you can get, assuming you are 3" piping all the way from the turbo back.
