Bout time: There's a difference between a slightly louder good sounding exhaust system and what is a farty drone.

The cheap and nasty chinese commuter bikes are the worse IMO as the mufflers internals blow out after a year of use....And they start every morning from 5:00am onwards as they go to/from work with the droning of a low power 4 stroke is annoying as hell...not helped by them being so slow they stay in audible range for what seems as a eternity.

Anyhoo...Spain's ITV tests exhaust noise with a calibrated microphone. Surprised UK doesn't do similar, would be far easier to enforce and implement. Only diehard knobs will change it at every MOT, like swapping decats, going through that rigmarole gets old quick.

There's a little prick who rides around my area on a moped with L plates which must have had the exhaust baffles removed.
The racket is unbelievable. If the noise is anything to go by, this must give it an immense power gain. :D

What the UK us slow on is using drones to catch motorist speeding or using the phone....other countries are.

Maybe because it needs a patrol on the ground to grab the number plate and another bod to pilot it. Whereas cameras are pretty much fully automated.
