Igniter module compatibility

I'm trying to get my old classic running again, which has been SORN and only started once since the first of the lockdowns in 2020. After checking coils, plugs and continuity from loom to coils, it's now obvious that cylinder 3 is giving an issue (known-good coils and plugs never produce a spark there), so I've sourced a spare ignoter module from Ebay to see if that would make a difference. The only slight issue is that this appears to be from an import car and not a UK-spec turbo like mine, and the physical size of the connectors are slightly different (although both modules have 5+4 pin arrangements).

Pictures of the modules side-by-side below for illustration (imported unit on the right in both pictures, UK unit on the left):

The question then - are these two units pin and electronically compatible, assuming I can get around the problem of mismatched physical connectors using an adapter harness?

Early models (>96) both UK and JDM use the same part 22438AA031 superceded by 22463AA010

Thanks Don. Any idea what the metal-cased item in my picture might correspond to then? What's interesting is that the through-bolt mounting holes line up exactly on both of them.
