EJ205 4th cylinder - Knocking Prevention?
Hi guys,
Please let me ask for your opinions... My EJ205 engine sounds great with no knocking or something like that. I am afraid after hearing some horror stories about the 4th cylinder and its knocking. What can I do now to prevent the 4th cyl knocking in the future? As for now: 1. Engine is working under normal and average loading conditions, around 2000-3000 RPMs. Just family driving in the city with rare active accelerations and higher RPMs, with no drifting and extreme driving. 2. Mobil Synthetic oil (Bought a number of jugs on sale) change every 3-4k km with the oil filter for sure. 3. Engine warms up every time after the cold start, even in the summer (warms up for a few mins). Anything else? Should I install an aftermarket aluminum (larger) radiator? I am not sure if its a must and if its needed for my careful driving. Insulate the exhaust piping under the hood? Please advise. Thank you. |

If it's not knocking now, and you maintain it, run it on good fuel and dont drive it like a díck you'll be grand |
