Please Help with 2005 STI identification

Hi folks I just signed up as a new member as I am planning on getting a WRX. I inspected one today being sold at a dealer listed as an S variant on the ad. Has STI scoop, 3 gauges on the dash and SDI boot badge. Got a PPSR report but lists as WRX no mention of STI.
The vin is JF1GDAKD35G054231.
It has black seats with no blue inserts. Is a 01/05 build.

Tried searching for confirmation with no luck. I have photos but unsure how to attach.
Hope you can help.
Thanks

Looks like a WRX to me. No red inlet manifold and WRX interior. What brakes has it got?

WRX (Destination code KA - Australia)( Build date - Model change 0501 - January 2005 - MY05)

Red calipers with Subaru on them. I assume the STI had Brembo written on them.

Facelift interior, would be a wide track if sti but has no wheel arch trims. It’s a wrx

It's screaming WRX.

Wow £15,000 for a WRX and I thought prices in the UK were high. You see the odd dealer listing mint ones for close to £10,000.

But most are around £5,000 to £7,000. Which is about $8,815 to 12,341 AUD so you're paying double than in UK.

you pay near double for everything in Oz....cost of living, wages etc all near double compared to UK (unless you live in London)

think op is only viewing this from an online ad so hard to tell unless described in the ad but yes that was my first thought. Subaru 4 pots instead of brembos not always a tell tale sign as some motorsport spec sti’s have non brembo brakes but it has wrx trim like non wide track arches and rear bumper, wrx side skirts not sti ones, spot lamps etc, wrx steering so on and so forth.
