ARP Case Bolts

Can anyone tell me what the limit is power wise on the standard case bolts. I’m aware it’s going to be power/boost/rev dependant, but at what point would it be advisable to switch over to the ARP’s? I’m aware I will need the block line honing due to case distortion.

Engine is a sleeved EJ25, aiming for 700bhp+

Thanks in advance.

Anything above 450 is abviseable especially if its in bits anyway, 700+ will want the 14s

Sorry, I think you misunderstood, I wasn’t referring to head bolts. I’m referring to uprated case bolts.

Personally I feel they are more hassle than the are worth, I use new standard block bolt in my 2.35 builds (several 700+ Including team legacy’s engine that’s 800+)

Thanks Mike, I’ve since spoken to a few other engine builders and general consensus seems the same. Standard bolts it is.
