Jdm vs uk engine

But if a stupid question but thought of doing a 207 swap into my uk300 but wanted to know if it was true that the jdm engines were stronger?

only the 01-02 Bug STi engines were stronger JDM wise............later JDM ones use Hyperpeutic pistons same as the 2.5's

unless you have issues then why are you swapping, power target, etc???

just want a bit more stronger engine and mines on 147k miles now so just seeing what’s out there and if uk or jdm were worth getting

01-05 UK 2.0 IMO is better than the later JDm engines, certainly piston wise.......

not really sure of the logic of buying another used engine to replace a used engine though / if your going to all of that trouble then personally I would do it once and with a new short motor (easily supplied)

as an aside we have owned / seen may cars do 200K no issue

Or just keep it back as a spare. Or get an engine built up on the side.
