Snapped front spliiter
So annoyed! Took the boy to a local lake where the farmers roads are riddled with pot holes and after some rain the holes were full and I couldn't see how deep they were.
made it to the lake with no issues but on the way out I got caught out and broke my splitter. other than Japan is there a supplier of the sti splitter? im happy to get non oem but want it to look as close to oem as possible. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...c7a67c1dc7.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...2966bcb7bc.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...de3d75422e.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...827b1933cb.jpg |
Gutted for you, I know the feeling by the way and need a new one myself. I repaired my last one with fiber glass and resin as it split completely in half in the middle. It worked out ok but had a weakness after that so was destroyed when I miss judged a curb.
Below is a link to a replacement for you, I will be ordering one myself soon. https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-par...-delivery.html Slightly off topic, but what is going on with your front number plate? |
is it plastic or fiberglass?
you can repair if you want |
farmers roads, imagine what could happen with Tein coilovers fitted:norty:
|
If it's ABS, as most OEM spoilers/splitters are, ANY half decent body shop will plastic weld it and make it like new.
|
I got a brand new OEM one from Sprinting Hare JDM.

I'd rather oem over aftermarket if I can afford it. |

I'd rather oem over aftermarket if I can afford it. I’ve used the HT Autos one on my old black one. Quality and fitment weren’t great although I did ‘make’ it fit eventually. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...127570735.jpeg |
most of parts You fit are not oem, whats a point to hunt for one?
|
I fitted one from HT Autos and fitment wasn't to bad but had to get some better bolts to fit it properly, to be fair it's taken a few knocks and held up well but has started to warp along front of the bumper over the years.
|
My last one was after market and the fit was very good. It was very easy to take off and on without issues, I had to take it off to cross the channel a few times as it almost always grounded out entering the ship.
The ones I have linked in the second post have been selling on here for many many years without any significant complaints that I have seen. |
got one from @KAS35RSTI for my hawk spec d many years ago and it was near identical to oem one

Splitters are a consumable on the Impreza so no point in spending big money on them. I have known people to replace them every few years as they just don't last on our crap roads, they do a great job protecting the front bumper though. |
As above @KAS35RSTI good job.
