Anyone tried the traffic light Grand Prix against a Tesla?
My car is no slouch, but the Tesla (Dual Motor) was slightly quicker.

I've launched a Model S P85D, erm yeah, it's quick off the mark.
Even with a P75D You're going to need AWD, anti lag, good launch control and a sequential/semi auto gearbox to properly beat it....oh, and some engine mods...if you haven't got over 600bhp/600lbft, don't bother...just give him a dummy; rev and lurch at the amber then gently pull away as he blasts off into the distance and kills 50miles off his range. :D Had a VW ID thing toying with me. I wasn't having it. Let him sail off knowing that if I stick to 50mph (70mph bypass) I get the next set of lights as they change to green and whizzed past him at the lights whilst he was stationary. :smug: |
A normal performance car won't get anywhere near a Tesla on acceleration, i wouldn't even try, i've been out in my mates Model S and they are incredibly quick off the mark. You'd need a seriously modded car with big torque to even have a chance.

I see what you mean. Now that is seriously quick by any standard. |
The new Tesla Model S Plaid is a tad over 2 seconds 0-60mph. Insane.
