Spacers on a 2008 - 2010 Hatch

Hi, has anyone put spacers on there hatch to help make the wheels fill the arches , is so what size front and rear ?? I was thinking 15mm front & 20mm rear but not sure if the wheels will catch the arches , any help advise much appreciated :thumb:

perrin recommend 20mm front and 15mm rear

i have 15mm all round on mine - note to run 15mm the OE stud will protrude out past the spacer so your wheels need to have the pockets in the back of the wheel to accept a protruding stud or you need to trim a OE studs a few mm to run flush with the spacer

before fitting

Just to add to what gambit said, future wheels you buy will need to have the pockets too. The jdm ones did so spacers could be fitted, then i bought oz ultras leggeras which didnt.

I'm pretty sure mine has spacers on but i couldn't tell you what as i've not had the car long and ive not taken the wheels off yet.

Yes you can see it's running direnza spacers in the first pic if you zoom in....I'd say it's running 20mm looking at it

Well observed Gambit, ive not looked at the wheel setup as yet as my focus has been on the engine mainly, getting it mapped, getting it serviced, i already knew the tyres were fine as he had not had them on long. Ironically i'll be moving onto them soon as i need to get one refurbed, are Direnza spacers ok ?

Yeah direnza spacers are fine been about years and used on plenty variety of cars without seeing any bad reviews on them.

The only thing with spacers is making sure the securing nuts to the hub are well/properly torqued and checked
