clutch fluid

The freezing conditions have really taken a toll on my clutch fluid and being lot darker than the brake fluid I think when I have the brake lines upgraded I'll get the clutch fluid done at the same time.
For the cost is it worth replacing the slave cylinder? I did have an intermittent knock noise when changing gear last year but it soon went.

My clutch fluid is darker than my break fluid. I flushed it last year the same time as I did the brakes and it went dark again. I’ve sucked out the reservoir a few times now and it keeps going darker.

After changing the fluid did you notice much change? If cheap and easy enough I'm thinking of changing the slave. I don't want the knocking noise to return and a preventive measure in case it does fail.

No difference at all, like I said flushed it a few times it kept going darker so gave up. Thought I’d wait until I start having clutch issues.
It looks a easy job for 20 odd pound, I think I’ll add that to this list then,
what knocking noise did you have?

The sound happened so randomly. Never heard it while engine running and when I got someone to press the clutch with engine off while I listened it may do it once and not again for weeks. Not heard it in over a year. Could have even been a random bolt that I dropped, never found and now free.

But it was more of a dull thud than a knock or ting. For the sake of £20 it may be worth replacing. * Ensures the garage replaces all of the fluid also.
