Okay, so i can make a rom adapter and burn eproms to fit into a JECS ecu. What I can't yet do is find a standard rom to modify or find a way of downloading the standard map from the flash memory on board.

Any clues?

I would be interested in this... how you making the rom adaptor?? any schematics?

We can trade. An adapter for the ECU bin file.

Indeed we can, I will look into getting the circuit laid out on a proper PCB. Mail me offline if you like.

As David may of already told you by now. I have Pre96 code, as either :

File for 1-Off 1028 Chip
File for 1-Off 256 (Odd) Chip
File for 1-Off 256 (Even) Chip

I have also put the data into an excel spreadsheet to start plotting parameters. Although my interpretation of the Code is a culmination of guesswork and info found on EJ20 related website. But the info is there if we can put our heads together we can probably crack it.

Mail me if interested, as at present David it trying to build me an adaptor which is part of an agreement we have with each other.

Cheers...

Paul, if it's the Paul I'm thinking off. You should of mailed me offline as I thought I had already mailed you about the availability.

Dimitri, Mail me .... maybe we can do a deal. David will back up that I have the info, as I spent a while ensuring the Odd/Even split was O.K and that it checksummed correct.

It is that paul, and I have found the information you are looking for. I will be correlating it all soon. I have the following:

Fuel map scaling points
Fuel map
Ignition map scaling points
Ignition map
Ignition retard map
Boost map scaling points
Boost map
Boost sol. duty cycle scaling points
Boost so. duty cycle map

I should be able to track down the boost limit, fuel scalling and rev limit soon.

David has more info. I have started to put all the maps into Excel to graph and verify they are what we think they are.

Select monitor reader will be the next thing to do, got the schematic, just need to build and write a program to access the serial port in the correct fashion. Getting raw data should be easy, hard bit is making a nice user interface.

Email me for further info.

Keep us updated guys - just about to enbark on the select monitor port to laptop type thing myself !
will let you know how I get on when I get the time to build the interface so I dont blow the whole thing up ! :(

Paul,
The info I have is as follows :

Boost Map : 0x8940 to 0x897f - Unit 8mmHg (although not sure if this unit calculation is correct)

Rpm : 0x8920 to 0x8927 - Unit 50rpm, represented by each column of the above map.

Throttle Position : 0x8928 to 0x892F - Unit 0 - 100%, represented by each row of the Boost Map (although not sure if this unit calculation is correct).

Fuel : 0x8120 to 0x821F - Unit PWM

Timing : 0x8500 to 0x85FF - Unit TDC

Pavlo 21 June 2002 09:51 PM

Okay, I have removed the info, because I have pretty much everything now, those interested please mail me, as there are others working on this with me.

Paul
