All

I know we have had many posts on this but several things.

Does anyone know when the UK edition is going to be released.

Where is the best place to buy it online.

Is there a Caterham in it and if so which one or are there several ?

Cheers

Mark

Mark,
It is due for release on the 28th January but apparently you might be able to get it from Wednesday.

FYI - the delay between the US and UK release has apparently been to squash some bugs in the game, some of which were rather nasty. Not sure how true this delay thing is - comments Dario

Sony US has offically announced that GT2 was a bit messed up and is offering US gamers free 'fixed' discs! which is nice.

So hopefully we'll get the fixed version from day one!

I *can't* wait for it. My girlfriend is gonna be really fed up this w/e when all I'm doing is playing GT2.

Stef 24 January 2000 04:43 PM

I've got the US version, and there were certainly a lot of glitches in the game.
Difficult to change it now though! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif
Still, I'll probably get the UK version too, so we all start on a vevel(ish) playing field. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Don't think there are any Caterhams in it though.

Stef.

I have an early PAL copy and it plays just like the first (that’s a compliment BTW).

The creators have upped the detail in the cars by sacrificing the scenery.

The most impressive moment is when you go up the arse of an Lancer Evo and you can pick out the name badge perfectly.

The biggest improvement is in the selection of cars, though.

Go to shopsmart.com(UK website) and they sell it for £20.99!! My friend has ordered it and is expecting it on the 28th.

robman 25 January 2000 05:45 PM

Yeah, shopsmart links to games street

20.99 delivered in 1-2 days

Ordered from them once before and they were reliable.

Stef,

I've got US GT2 as well. You mentioned glitches in the game.
Have you got this problem. My best time for any track is not transfered on the area in the top right hand corner, its still got blank dashes.
I'm well P****d off cause I've put good times in.

See Ya!

Idris.

Yes, that's one of the problems. I was also able to enter ma lot of the special events using the same car....when was a 22B ever a convertible, an 80's car, a luxury sedan, an estate......... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/confused.gif

Still, top game, if not a little easy.
I hope the UK version's a bit tougher.

Stef.
