AFAIK Newage SpecC pump unit is basically the same plus larger filter with a surge box arrangement.

Oh let us know how you‘re getting on with it. I‘m gonna do the same, too, on a type uk tho. So I have to figure this t-piece business out. Also I was wondering, the spec c tank is 50 liters and the sti 60, I wonder if that would make any difference.:wonder:

Cool, I got a pump assembly already, just need a new uprated pump and possibly fuel lines, t-piece, clamps and then I should be good to go.

ZANY 04 May 2020 02:59 PM

All ordered up along with a filter

Should land by Wednesday also ordered the Fuji uprated pump as it’s yellow :D not that anyone will ever see it

Ready to go
might not use the uprated pump and just drop the unit in as is....

Nice one! Mines still patiently waiting in it‘s box for when I got all the parts and the cojones to get started.

I guess yours being a jdm, you won‘t have to mess with the third fuel pipe..

I‘m thinking replacing the fuel pump with a new walbro 255 since the one in the tank has done 15 years of service and I can‘t see needing a higher flowing pump than that.

Why not stick in the fuji pump tho?

i just don’t know why I bought it to be honest but have decided it’ll be an overkill and I’ll put it to one side for the moment as the genuine one is more than capable of doing the job

I’ve had to do the whole t piece malarkey on mine aswell BTW

scoobaholic 06 May 2020 11:09 PM

Ok, fair enough, yeah it‘s easy to get carried away but if you won‘t need higher fuel flow then my bet would be on the stock pump, too. :thumb:

Oh so maybe the third pipe is a spec c rather than jdm thing.

Are you all done already? Did you take a snap of the t piece job by any chance?

ZANY 08 May 2020 07:00 AM

Sorry pal didn’t take any pics gone past the whole “here how’s I did it” :(

you dont need any extra pipe mate just the t piece :thumb: I luckily had the t piece allready in my toolbox

scoobaholic 08 May 2020 09:32 AM

No worries mate, it sounds straight forward enough. Cool, I‘ll make sure I‘ll get that.
