2005 WRX Oil Change

My 2005 Blobeye WRX is due an oil change. I'm going to do it myself this year. Can anyone recommend the best oil to use for the car, and how much I will need.

Ta.

if it’s forged then a 10 or 15 by 40 or 50 , if it’s low mileage ? then the brand subaru say is a 5/30? i tend to use a 10/40 on mine , millers nanodrive is a good oil at a good price , i don’t track mine so i use the older jdm service schedule and change oil ever 7500 miles , opie oils a good place to buy many car related parts plus fluids , i buy my brake fluid diff and g box fluid and engine oil , use the black jdm oil filter there were issues with the blue one

Its a 2005 WRX not STi but has been remapped to 270 Bhp. The car has 68k miles. do you have links to the correct filter?

I get my service items from icp but as performance just as good customer service

black oil filter with sump nut washer

10/40 semi of your choice or as above can’t go wrong with millers imo

as it’s tuned you may need a higher heat range spark plug to what’s used on std wrx’s

changepollen filter while your at it

First time I've visited that website and it looks awesome, thanks for that, I'll buy from them.

Import car parts have an ebay site so i order my oil filters via ebay with them , but it’s very easy to just call them or go on their site , despatch is quick , quality of other parts they sell are good , ive just ordered front and rear arb links that were very £ reasonable

as you may find out scooby dip stick levels can be interesting , leave the car to drain for a while , check how much oil you need, measure it out and add what it says , the dip stick goes into the sump at an angle , so weirdly you can get one side of the dipstick showing higher or lower than the other 😢🤣😁 , with the dipstick in the correct way the side of the dipstick with the writing on is the one you trust
