Hi Don

Where is the oil control solenoid value? Is it difficult to remove?

Thanks
Donie

the Exhaust solenoids are bolted to the lower part of the head casting just behind the cam pulleys accessed from underneath the car

check engine light

Just to update this, and give a full story,

Check engine light come on p0011, went to mechanic next day. He took if for a drive and it came back making strange noise.
Sound coming from turbo, on removal the bearing were shot, serious play in the shaft.
swapped out the turbo (didn't do oil change) started fine, he cleared the codes and brought for a drive all ok only for a rattle in the Catalytic converter on down pipe.

I drove it later that night check light came back P0011,P0014,P0021,P0024. Got fresh oil and filter and cleared codes, no cel light since.
Car is now very smokey on start which it never was, was told is probably oil in the exhaust from turbo letting go.
i hope no seals were harmed which is contributing to my smokey start up.

Oil can take quite along time to clear after a turbo lets go. So do not panic yet
