Hawkeye headlights.

My headlights are cloudy and I know I can get them buffed clear but I'd rather new lights then keep having to 'clean' them
the kicker is I don't fancy paying £600 for a set of lights when all that is wrong is the lense.

Is there anyway anyone knows where I can order just the clear lense?

not sure you can order just the lens, i had mine buffed by a local bodyshop 2 years ago and they still look mint now. perhaps pop on to detailing world to see if there is a ceramic coating suitable for headlights or some protection film once you have had them buffed up.

were there no headlight protectors available from subaru for the hawkeye?

get them machine polished by a local bodyshop and then a few coats of wax every now and then............

Thats the thing though. If these lasted 10yrs I'd rather have to do nothing for 10yrs.

I had my Hawkeye Headlights polished and got them covered with clear 3M vinyl wrap with UV protection. Job done. I paid someone to do it locally. 60 quid fitted. If the wrap turns yellow just peel off and reapply new wrap. I will have sold the car by then though. Do it yourself for much cheaper.

Yellow/cloudy headlights really spoil the look of the car. If you buy cheap copies they will turn yellow much quicker than OEM so pointless

they suffer in the same way that ALL plastic lenses suffer..............new ones will have the same issue given time / use

Yeah, If only they were still made of glass like the old days.

I really dont want to have to keep buffing them but having a clear coat onto to help will keep the costs down.

I'm hoping subaru will see it as a waste and list the lense as a part to buy.

Clear coat will lower their brightness unless you use a 2 part clear coat and cure properly. Just polish and wrap

I bought a brand new drivers side lens from IMParts on e-bay a while back, was £100, don't know if they've got any now though.
