Restoration of the Kingsman Impreza

I'd love to hear from anyone that has any information on the history of the car. Cheers Kieran

I think that Engine Tuner in Plymouth would be able to give you a ball park figure for this (seeing as you're in Bristol). Other wise there's Scooby Clinic or Pole Position.
Might be worth trying to source a donor car for all the parts as that'll probably be cheaper than buying them all separately.
In my experience, it usually costs at least 50% more than you think it will.

Matty MB Developments on here will have everything you need

how sure are you its an STI? looks more like a wrx, interior etc, main give away being the rear arch's, or lack of rear arch lip.

dash in the film is def wrx
seats are grey int he film so wrx

just becuase the dvla think its an sti doesnt mean it is ;)

bit of a strange on indeed! bit of a mongrel & on top of what you are saying it looks like its running STI rims but spacers on them which may be conversion spacers, but the disks look big enough to be STI items & then it has the I/C water spray button & bottle etc.

to be fair i think it would cost far more to put that back than it would be to buy an above average condition hawk sti

LewisScoob 06 December 2019 10:09 AM

Agree with Gambit, its proper mongrel and would be so much easier to get an average hawk sti and wrap it to suit the colour. Applied model code on the VIN plate would be the giveaway for it being WRX or STI?

Gambit 06 December 2019 10:41 AM

it looks to have a VIN plate on each strut tower also?1

Interior, dash etc could all be easily switched and i expect were taken out and put back in to put in safety stuff anyway.

The bit that wouldn't be easy/cheap is the rear arch lips, also why remove them in the first place?

Short version, it looks to me like a wrx they have pulled the fog lights from or maybe just put covers on top of, replaced the bonnet (blue instead of grey when you see it lifted int he pics), added conversion spacers and sti wheels and some blank buttons. not alot of money in that.

Front seats when hes driving dont look right either, look like the old style sports seats, not full buckets

Does raise the question of was it one of the RA version prodrive got for conversion to rally cars?

Just found these,

https://www.torquenews.com/1084/king...azy-mods-video

So one of them is a cut and shut with the whole body coming off, STi and a sport mixed in there. Possibly just chucked in a wrx interior for the sake of it to sell it. Also had a rear end shunt.

TBh not sure i;d wanna drive it even if it is repaired.

Oh.. and a rear wiper...
