Can a CDB ej207 be swapped into a htach ?
Hi, as per the title I konw the ej207 with big port heads will fit the hatch, but will the engine be compatible with the hatch ecu ? Obviously I will loose the air pump etc and the avcs on the exhaust side ?
Has anyone done this swap before, or can shed any light ? Thanks |
Yes it can be done but not on the std OE Hatch ecu, you will need an aftermarket ecu, & wiring changes from your 2.5 3 pin sensors to 2 pin cam sensors, keep the 2.5 inlet etc.

also just to be exact none of the newer EJ205/207 motors are CDB but are a Semi-Closed set-up..........
factory CDB motors were only produced approx 1989-1994 - ODB & SCDB blocks can be modified if you know who to ask...........;) |
