Cat N car
Is it possible to find out what exactly what the damage was ? The person selling the car says they bought it like this and dont know what it was.

Cat N is non structural so would be panel damage of some sort its whether it has been fixed to a high standard or bodged personally i would stay well clear

CAT N description:
This is the equivalent of the previous Cat D category, and identifies a car that's been involved in an accident, but has not suffered damage to its structural frame. The updated code notes that even though Category N cars haven't had their core safety structures damaged, there may still be safety-critical parts – such as suspension or steering components – that need replacing. Basically what Russell said. I guess the insurance inspector is the only one who knows and once it gets to a certain amount its written off as not viable to fix, so there maybe lots of other nasty broken bits not yet examined. |
ok thanks for the info.the seller was a bit vague so i knocked the idea on the head.
