I couldn’t wait to remove mine! Currently sitting in my garage, but maybe I need to stick it on eBay if they’re that sought after :D

Russell38 06 June 2019 08:47 PM

Sorry but that must be the ugliest mod I have ever seen

If you have the full instalment you could get your self an easy £200+ and also make some one very happy as super rare and lots of people want them :)

Did you try searching for it under "wing mirror" as there are probably tons for sale? It wouldn't work at all on your bumper (fender).
It is very jdm.

BrownPantsRacing 07 June 2019 08:57 AM

Nice wing wart. :thumb:

What a silly question well yeah offcourse I did, there actually called fender mirrors,

I will give you £100 if you find one for sale. lol

BrownPantsRacing 07 June 2019 10:17 AM

Subaru part number J2717FC000 which is now discontinued and very rare. Presumably because nobody wanted them?

Just kidding, it's your car and you can do what you like to it. I do love a rare accessory.

No, because my car was RHD and they are only available for the passenger wing, so totally pointless here in the uk IMO. They are really only fitted for looks and not my thing. But each to their own! :thumb:

I'm not getting into a slagging match here, if you read the comments while most from other members have been negative I've been standing up for you.

As said, it's your car so fit what you want. :thumb:

haha. Yep, you're not kidding. I mean who'd drive a modified Subaru on Rota wheels anyhow. Oh wait, I do! :)

Yeh, I've always said your SF5 is about the nicest one I've ever seen. Perfect wheel, stance and colour. Looks the nuts!

I'm plagued with 2.5 engines. Had Subaru's with 2.5 engines for over 12 years now and they've all failed one way or the other.

Head gaskets mostly, closely followed by ringland piston cracking and subsequent block damage, then oil starvation seizing. Yep, they are a ticking time bomb but I love them. Great driving cars with the torque if built properly.

rossyboy 07 June 2019 12:51 PM

Ah, mine is an SG and going by pics on-line does appear to be genuine.

Being JDM, my Forester (Cross Sports) is 2 litre though :)

Ebay it is!

Surprised at you, it's a JDM (so RHD) accessory for kerb watching ;)

VERY common in JAPAN on lots of makes and models

Available for the SJ Forester upto 2012

Japan uses a lot of American names for there parts. So it's actually a wing mirror. As mirrors used to be fitted on the front wings back in the day.

If you want to go down that route, the actual name for the part is "Front Under Mirror" as shown on the box here.

https://static.baza.farpost.ru/v/1421989079306_default

Translates from フロント アンダー ミラー

Useful in the narrow streets of Japan for parking.

they also do/did a "Rear Mirror"-Y78209 (J2717FC010) which mount on the rear hatch for looking at the bumper - since replaced by rear view camera/s
