I watch youtube stuff when I can - I do prefer it to watching telly sometimes
The Rooster Teeth family of channels and pages are pretty funny. I like wasting time watching this guy build swords Michael Cthulu These guys have, what I consider, amusing takes on current news but it's mostly about US news - Internet Today Joe Rogan has some interesting guests and discussion |

Bad Obsession Motorsport for the Project Binky build (Celica GT4 into a classic Mini), amazing fabrication skills and now on episode 24
Mighty Car Mods and a couple of their spin offs, predominantly Jap stuff in Oz, turbo Tribeca engined Legacy, V-Tec into a classic JDM Mini, RB26 into a 240Z plus more recently a few Euro bits. Also some useful How Tos with a nice crate EJ20 replacement engine swap. Cletus McFarland, redneck workshop doing V8 stuff with the worlds first 7 second manual Corvette plus other mad stuff Finnigans Garage, Blown Hemi powered 55 Chevy and a twin turbo Hemi powered Jet Boat |
Only two; Ninja and Stonemountain

Is it me or has YouTube become utterly overfilled with clickbait vids (titles in capitals with pics that don’t even relate to the vid), and analytics whores (that pad out the first parts with junk in order for them to get a higher listing), as well as those creating clip vids that are all composed of other people’s content.
The problem is all my search results are filled with this, it’s constantly recommending it to me even though I’m wise to it and avoid it, yet it still persists. Anyhoo. Another prop to Bad Obsession, as well any Roadkill off shoots. |
+1 for Bad Obsession’s Project Binky - a masterclass in fabrication, engineering and mechanical problem solving.
Anything on mega-powered US WW II warbirds - P51s, Hellcats, Corsairs, Sea Fury, etc. Advanced RC modelling skills like HemiStorm Smooth Jazz compilations (Don’t understand the TV bashing comments, TV and YouTube are different propositions and there’s room for both.) |
dcrainmaker, altough less latley
plus bit of an obession with home tube bending fabrication, for canopies |
I play quite a few board games, so I like to watch demos of how they play and what they look like etc to help me decide if it's something I would like to play/buy.
My favourite is Rahdo Runs Through - he's a little bit crazy and all over the place, but once you get used to him he's pretty entertaining. The Dice Tower is another pretty good one. And Watch It Played with Rodney Smith is good for rules explanations. |
Another vote here for Bad Obsession and Project Binky - absolutely stunning work, and humourous and well presented too.
This is how blokes TV should be made - not the Mike Brewer/Edd China fluff. People want to see in detail how somethings done - the shows like Car SOS - you see them drag in a rusty old crock o sh1te, then 5 mins later its all painted and finished (magically) and they are bolting the shiny stuff on... and doing a 10 min section on having the badge rechromed at a Factory, or collecting all the shiny parts from a warehouse and a fake 'doing a deal' for the Parts. I want to see the REAL work that's gone into it - not the dumbed down to the lowest common denominator fluff bits. Project Binky gives me that realism. |
