Back again saying hello.

Hi all. Well after a 3 year scooby break im back in the blue seat with a 06 STI Hawkeye. After my blobeye wrx got sold (to a guy in Germany) I brought a Golf 2.8 V6 which was pretty good. Choped that in for an Audi S5. Although the Audi was beautiful to look at and the 4.2 V8 engine sounded awesome it turned out to be an absolute horror show. I spent over £5000 getting most of the engine rebuilt and a new clutch. Everything about that car cost a fortune. So that went and now Ive got another rumbler on the drive. Its pretty much standard. Prodrive backbox, bigger alloy rad and some BC adjustable suspension and thats it.
Needs a double din stereo to replace the toilet one in it and some window tinting I think.
Anyway, glad to be back in a proper car again. Going from an S5 interior to a subaru interior was a big shock haha.

Any tips, surgestions or upgrade advice....throw it this way.

have a read here, it says 2008-2010 engines but in reality they are all flawed even the latest 2.5 engines have been failing

once built though its a fantastic fast road engine. budget around £4k-£5k for a full rebuild with uprated parts. the rest of the car shouldnt give you many issues, i have a hawk sti with a built 2.5 and i love it. the original engine in mine failed in 2013 @ around 55k

I went in blind on a hawk sti

Ended up with cosworth gasket as the heads bolt stretch under boost and push air into the coolant
