twin scroll sumps
i see a few imprezas that have been rebuilt and alot of them list a twin scroll sump, what are the advantages of this?
mainly hawkeye i see with this. cheers |
Your 2.5 uses the same basic sump as the equivalent T/scroll so no benefit at all
most likely simply people not understanding what they have or being led down the garden path...... |

Shreksta, I think the ones you see mentioning the TS / 2.5 sumps are 2.0/2.1 cars, no?
Mine's got a 2.5 sump in it, as I'm under the impression that they offer (slightly) better oil control on track. |

They were standardised with the arrival the 2.5L engine MY06 onwards and the oil pickup was changed at the same time.

In theory the original TS sump is the 'best' std set-up but very little between them......
