Your 2.5 uses the same basic sump as the equivalent T/scroll so no benefit at all

most likely simply people not understanding what they have or being led down the garden path......

Shreksta, I think the ones you see mentioning the TS / 2.5 sumps are 2.0/2.1 cars, no?

Mine's got a 2.5 sump in it, as I'm under the impression that they offer (slightly) better oil control on track.

i think ive seen one 2.0 car with it but mostly 2.5. had a look through some of my quotes for my rebuild and a couple of companies have put twin scroll sump on aswell.

Sir,

i guess ts and 2.5 sumps are identical but not same

are 2.5 sumps better then ts sumps or are these changes because of material costs?

what do you think about ?

regards,

They were standardised with the arrival the 2.5L engine MY06 onwards and the oil pickup was changed at the same time.

In theory the original TS sump is the 'best' std set-up but very little between them......

whats the deal with the pick up pipes? are the 2.5 the ones prone to fracturing?
