Impreza WRX STI JDM v8 2005 Widetrack Spark plugs
 

Hi All,

Apologises for this thread and hope this is in the correct place (I'm new here, this is my first post :) ).

I've recently become a new owner of an Impreza WRX STI JDM v8 2005 Widetrack.

I've got gearbox and diff oils ordered tonight for servicing to come soon and this comes to my reason for the post, one of the items left on my shopping list is spark plugs.

To put it bluntly I've got a little lost here..... My first stop was NGK's part finder (as I've always found this reliable or uk cars) and the plugs they recommend are PFR6B, however, with the JDM heads and AVCS are these the correct plugs to use? (In relation to thread reach length and clearance I guess?)

Reading multiple threads on here and similar forums some suggest PFR7B on the JDM's and modified cars (I suspect mine has been remapped in Japan due to how is pulls in comparison to my friends Evo 9 GT thats proven to be running 320hp, however, no proof of a remap yet!)

Or is the above completely wrong and I'm on the wrong track for what plug to use?

Spark plugs are listed as 22401AA600 which equates to NGK PFR7G

Cheers! Ordered and arrived, just means I've got to fit them now :)
