Just found this about the DeltaDash on the EcuTek website. Makes for some interesting reading, especially towards the end

I was ecstatic with the quoted figures and it felt like I was piloting the bloody space shuttle. Then I noticed that stock M135i s, RS3s, AMG 45s etc were pulling my pants down at every opportunity. Not to mention that when the ambient temp hit anything above 20 degrees the power started dropping considerably on long runs. Never took the car on the track to be honest, as I knew what the outcome would be. Toyed with the idea of putting the car on a rolling road to confirm his Deltadash claims, but unfortunately never got around to it.
Come to think about it, I was never given a copy of the Deltadash which is a bit weird.
I have been driving a stock JDM Hawkeye for the last few months, which feels every inch as quick as the mapped Hatch did and is only rated 320/320 from the factory and I know for a fact that the Deltadash can massage the figures (especially if you enter the car’s weight incorrectly) as I have been playing with the software myself. Big figures mean happy customers.
Seriously though, even though I don’t know you, I am really happy for you. Just take these figures with a pinch of salt unless they are produced on a dyno, and enjoy your Hatch.

Thanks....I understand what you’re saying but there are people who have used bob, took the car to
a rolling road and it’s made roughly the same, im
sure there are some differences in some cases just like different rolling roads make different figures. Who decides which figure to
believe? Do we believe rolling roads or road mapping figures??

surely low numbers mean more business? As the person will keep going back after doing more mods

But the car made 480bhp at engine tuner mapped by martyn on the standard tmic with meth injection. No issues with temps....martyn and Alan said the 2.5” exhaust system, the standard headers and up pipe were holding the car back and unable to surpass 1.5 bar because of it.

So I take the car home.....all good. Get new 3” exhaust, rcm unequal headers, Harvey up-pipe, 4 bar map sensor......get them all installed and take the car to bob for mapping and it makes the 525bhp and 568 ft lbs. I don’t think that’s such a surprise from where the car was at engine tuner and what it made then.

Just because we making this power doesn’t mean the car is faster than rs3’s etc those car engines are more modern/efficient plus dsg

People have been saying for ages that soon as you hit 350bhp you need a fmic....I didn’t want a fmic as I think they’re hideous so went the aquamist route and seems to be working well....the car doesn’t get tracked and is just used for a quick blast now and then anyways

iv taken loads of my cars to club rolling road days and they make the same as what bob tells me and what my graphs say within a few bhp ,, Iv also proven how fast mine is in the real world up against other built subarus so its a fairly accurate figure from what iv found over the years

this thread is just pointless really

No, you don’t need a FMIC over 350/350, but you may need a larger TMIC at your level as the stock one is way too small. Possibly a Wagner or an ETS or a Grimmspeed. Mine was running significantly cooler on one of those.
Until it lifted its cylinder heads

I’ve read posts on uk and us forums where tuners have commented that the standard tmic is a very good unit....however I agree that there is always going to be improvements that can be made.....but as I’ve stated, I’m able to utilise the standard tmic through the use of the aquamist setup.....and also getting back to figures.....the car felt rapid at 480 bhp when I got it back from engine tuner. Now it feels a whole lot faster, a lot more
free flowing and pulls a lot better so the figures are bang on as far as im concerned

what about the clinic's attitude problem when caught with proper video evidence purposely smashing a customers car through pot holes.
but the fanbois forget this.
i remember their attitude when exposed stunk even more,to the point of the clown that did it still being employed by them.

And people still use the place to work on prized possession cars worth 10,000's (in some cases) ?

but my point is.
everybody makes mistakes, the clinics was proved with video evidence.
I'm yet to see any evidence of bob's mistakes apart from one mans ramblings.
for the record though i do think the clinic's work and knowledge is not in question, its just the irony of the title saying "attitude problem" given the clinics pot holing video.

Technically there are at least 2 people who have had issues as this thread was not started by Gary aka RAGGY DOO, but by someone else with issues.

Just saying.

Otherwise I agree with your comments about everyone making mistakes. It's really how you deal with those issues that counts.

but has he had issue's as he seems very reluctant to tell anyone what they are?
as for its how you deal with them that counts, is calling the man with a video a liar then trying to belittle them on social media and still employing the clown that purposely damaged a customers car is the acceptable way to deal with it?
not for me its not.
i have seen no evidence of bob's wrong doing so far either just two people claiming things with no evidence. you know like a video :)

Is this still rolling along? As the OP popped up yet with his issues with Bob Rawle?

Wurzel 02 May 2019 03:54 PM

I have never had a problem with Bob or with the Clinic and have used both multiple times.

Hawkeye D 02 May 2019 05:46 PM

My engine builder used Bob about 3 or so years ago....no issues, and seemed a friendly enough guy.
