Remember to put your clocks back 2 hours on Friday night - just realised it's 2 hours to align us with the EU, some Brexit withdrawal agreement clause or something!

nobody's actually voted in favour anything at all yet , so....

No clock change this year, the EU have forced a new law onto us - the *******s - before brexit.

When we leave the EU the clocks will go back 50 years!

Incidentally, the EU have actually voted this week to get rid of the clock changes starting in 2021.
Countries can either choose to stay on summer time, in which case, the last change will be spring 2021 or stay on winter time, where the last change will be in autumn 2021.
There is also a requirement that countries co-ordinate with their neighbors to avoid a patchwork of time-zones across the EU.
Generally, it's expected northern countries will stay on winter time and southern countries will stay on summer time.
The change is in response to an online referendum conducted last year where the people of the EU voted overwhelmingly in favour of abolishing switching between summer and winter time!

I voted to abolish it! My guess is most of you lot weren't even aware you could vote! :wonder:

I'd heard rumours of them discussing it - I'd MUCH rather have the Summer Time hours - its my favourite day of the year when we get an hour lighter in the evening - you can actually do something when you get home!

So it get really stupid if the UK leaves the EU, when I leave the south of Ireland and cross the border into Northern Ireland , I will either lose or gain an hour.

Indeed, the UK should simply abolish daylight savings also. Its pretty pointless.
