No brake peddle, help please

Thanks in advance for any help :)

daughter rings today with no brake peddle :( I checked around the car with no obvious brake fluid leaks, I then tried to bleed the system and had massive amounts of air in the lines. My head tells me master cylinder, but could it be something else?

Car is an 02 wrx
cheers

Surely if its fallen off it will be in the foot well somewhere

Of no real help I know but in my car when referring to the area under the seats we call it Narnia, all sorts of things disappear & reappear. Could the peddle be there?????
Sorry but it is ”Scoobynet Sunday” when anything goes!!!
There is meant to be a strict bleeding pattern for Scooby brakes, it is on here somewhere, it may be worth (searching) ensuring you have followed that first to confirm it’s been done properly to rule that out?

If there's air in the lines there has to be a leak in the system somewhere. Usually when a cylinder fails it's the seals inside (on the plunger) that are shot, which wouldn't let air in but just stops it from being able to pump fluid through.
