It seems most on the net are of the opinion that you need to open up the gear box casings to fit the selector shaft seal... but it’s either laziness or scepticism that’s driving me to wonder can it be done without dismantling the box, considering seal is fitted from the outside... box is out on ground at moment... anyone done it???
