car lurch when hitting 3k rpm (entering boost?)

Hello i've had my wrx sti 2.5 2011 scooby for a few months now and i've noticed if i slowly creep up to 3k rpm+, usually in around gear 3, the car kind of lurches once it enters boost (i assume that's what's happening). After which it seems fine and responsive but i'm wondering if this a normal feature of the car to make a noticeable lurch when entering the boost? It doesn't always lurch especially when driving more quickly but it just seems to be a thing that happens when climbing the rpms at a slower pace.

Fuel pressure regulator most likely, assuming it's a similar design to the one in USDM. It's a common problem on the 08's-14's and tuning can (mostly) solve it, but generally gets worse on how modified the car is.

I don't notice it much on my 2012 STI after I got it tuned, but I did complain about it a little when I first got the car. Cobb and Neetronics make a kit for it (the Cobb one is pricey). Some extra info on it here.

Ah thanks a lot for the info. Yeah that link explains my problem well. Guess I'll have to get one of those kits at some point.
