Does the STI boot spoiler use the existing WRX spoiler holes on a newage?

Out of interest, as per title. Considering whether to put an STI wing on my WRX. Wondered if I need to have a boot lid modified, or if a genuine STI wing will bolt straight onto existing lid without redrilling etc?

i think its different holes, also make sure you use some rubber washers around the bolts or your boot will get a tad damp.

would be better to find a bootlid complete with spoiler in your colour, ask a few breakers

It uses the existing 4 holes plus you need to drill another 8

Yes just this.

I used the 4 existing holes that did match up, drilled the other ones that are under the WRX spoiler footprint in my WRX bootlid so that if required I could go back to the WRX spoiler, which I did when I sold the car. I held my STI spoiler down with sections of very strong double sided padded sticky tape in the middle and the 6 mounting bolts. It was rock solid, no issues at all.

Hi, bumping this thread since i have a similar question.

I own a 2000 GC8 Impreza GT and have a STI wing that I want to use, I did however not recieve the extra bolts for the STI wing so im stuck with my 4 original bolts on the GT wing.
Are the additional 8 bolts the exact same bolts as those 4 in use currently? The dealers in my area cannot for some reason find out what bolts are used on the STI wing (probably cause it was never sold in the rest of Europe) so they cant even order them for me :/

4 bolts then bond it in the middle with pu sealer
