Late model Impreza turbo 2000 wanted

Hi everybody I’m on the look out for a late Impreza turbo 2000 so thought ScoobyNet would be a good place to start, ideally would like it to be 99/2000 and owned by an enthusiast would prefer mica blue but all colours considered, standard or modded cash waiting for the right car
WHY?

6 hour round trip today for a low mileage turbo 2000 but came back empty handed
so still looking

Nightmare- not as good as described or just not what you wanted?,they are getting thin on the ground now, keep going you will find one eventually though

Both rear suspension turrets had holes, one had already been plated but had a finger sized hole in it the other had a 6 inch strip missing, shame really because other than that it was pretty much what I wanted

At the age they are at,most are going to have some issues,if it was pretty much what you wanted otherwise, was it not worth trying to haggle to knock off something towards cost of repairs?,or was he not for budging?,I would have been trying something.especially after 3 hour trip..I’m sure something will turn up!

Nah he wouldn’t, if he would of took the cost of repair off I would of been heading home in it :thumb:

Having owned My99 and MY01 models for lengthy periods I can say that you are unlikely to find a car of this age without significant rot in the rear suspension turret, sill ends and wheel arch areas unless extensive - and I stress extensive - repair work has been carried out on the car.
In my experience, the 'usual minor bubbling' on the rear wheel arch is just an indication that there will likely be significant rusting in the rear turrets.
This will probably cost a couple of grand to rectify properly.
Have you considered importing a low mileage example from Japan?

Yeh I know, the arches had been done and :sills, got my heart set on a late UK turbo in mica blue like the one I used to own:D and if it was PPP and had black leather that would be the dream spec
