Md321v 58 or 76?

trying to hit the magic 500 or as close to on vpower, was wondering if anyone has made similar figures with the 58mm inlet as im deciding whether or not to upgrade the compressor wheel and cover to a 76mm one for more top end power
what numbers have been achieved on the 58 inlet on the 321v? Its a billet version too will be on a 2.1
thanks

Cannot comment, but is the V not on the limit of 500 - 550 in the 76mm billet version?

Robert.

Thanks robert. Yes i would imagine so but i spoke to turbo dynamics and they think by changing the compressor wheel and cover for a larger 76mm intake that will see closer to 500 on vpower as a pose to the 58mm variant. But iv also spoke to mark from lateral and hes telling me the 58mm intakes are proven to crack 500 mark also and that he in fact only sells the 58mm intake version on the V now as the 76 mm ones were too fiddly to fit and didn’t necessarily improve the bhp. So im left kinda confused 🤷*♂️

I got the 76mm cover on my MD321T+ twin entry without even asking for it when I bought it and fitting a 3" inlet hose under the intake manifold wasn't fun at all (I do have a version 5 intake manifold with 20mm spacers at the moment so perhaps it's a better fit with the newage JDM STI intake manifolds).. I would have prefered the 58mm version if it really doesn't make that much of a difference.

I've heard the same on the 76mm compressor inlet with a newage inlet manifold - its a ball ache to fit. Also make sure a good solid inlet tract is fitted as cheaper ones may/will start to collapse under load..

Is there a turbo blanket that is a good fit for the twin entry MD321? I guess the housing is slightly larger than the VF36/37.

I have the 76mm on mine, as others have said absolute ballache to fit. Made good power at reasonable boost though.
