Luddite looking for some help

Alright there,
I'm getting my car back after it being off the road for the last few years, its an old 2005 STI and it still has the standard old head unit and I'm looking for something a bit more up to date to replace it with preferably with Nav and or Android auto. I am planning a bit of touring including the obligatory trip to Germany later on in the year and having built in tw@t nav would be a bonus.

Wondering what your recommendations are and how easy are these new fangled things to fit?

I've recently upgraded my standard head unit in my 2003 STi for a kenwood android auto unit.

Pretty easy to fit. The front facial pulls off. The oem unit unscrews

The new unit bolts in to the mounts so you don't. need the cage thing. Only 3 out of 4 screws on each side on the brackets.

Plug the iso harness adaptor in.

After I put the car back together I found that for the android auto to work then you need to attached a lead to the handbrake switch. I've not yet done this yet.

I also routed the mic for the hands free kit behind the dash and up the a pilar and it comes out by the interior light.

I also fitted a dab aerial this was again easy, the head unit had a power out for the amplifier.

All pretty easy.
