the dvla require you to complete and submit a v888 form which they have done,. if you know another way, let me know and i will pass it on to them

The Rig 16 January 2019 03:10 PM

Glad they have now filled in the form, in all of their posts on fb it said they were not doing this

paulhills 16 January 2019 04:05 PM

to be fair,. the garage owner did a runner, and a few local people have done the right thing by putting the word around and arranging for the owners to pick up their cars,. off their own backs,. in their own time,. they have nothing to do with the guy that's left and are not obliged to do anything,. they are no more accountable to do anything, than you are...

they are also not part of some task force with a particular set of skills for this,. no, they are just a couple of blokes doing the right thing.. lots of comments floating around saying why don't they do x or y,. why dont they give more information, or they sound like they are scamming etc,.. at least they are doing something, and i am sure the owners that have got their cars back already are glad that they are.

BrownPantsRacing 16 January 2019 04:40 PM

^^^^^^^ Agreed Paul.

p.s. I'm an Aylesbury boy too. :D

jaygsi 16 January 2019 04:46 PM

To be fair i assumed they were the friends of the landlord of the yard, but i get all that but once you accept the job of finding an owner of a car off you take responsibility for that job otherwise whats the point etc, the dvla form is a quick and simple way of doing that without attracting attention from unwanted characters. If that failed then post on social media. but hey, start at the end or beginning of a circle you end up at the same point in the end

jaygsi 16 January 2019 06:43 PM

Wonder if you stored it for them, how long before you can claim as yours if no one comes forward :thumb:

The ****ing crooks that ran this garage need dragging through the streets on fire for this, disgusting behaviour

Edit:

I've been asked by someone to remove my comment stating the garage/business name that everyone already knows.

Personally I feel hiding the garage name will mean finding the vehicle owner even more difficult and unlikely.

Anyhow, now done as requested.

jaygsi 08 February 2019 09:11 PM

How come you've left it there so long?

P1 EviL 08 February 2019 10:16 PM

I haven’t left it long! I was un aware of these threads. I went to the garage yesterday as I hadn’t heard from Simon (owner of api) for weeks and my car was gone and so was he. Then find all this on ScoobyNet and p1woc today unfortunately!! Simon never told me about any of this! I had been chasing him for months on completing my car and he always had an excuse for it not being completed. I live over 2hours away so couldnt keep coming down all the time. I obviously have the log, spare key and have owned the car over 9 years. Anyone with anything on the whereabouts of my car reg P1 3EVL please call me 07511691737 reward for anyone who helps track it down!!! Thanks

jaygsi 09 February 2019 08:41 AM

I'm not on facebook but seen that you have been incontact with person who started the thread.

BrownPantsRacing 11 February 2019 12:25 PM

Hope you get this back.

burns 07 March 2019 07:02 AM

Hi, has anyone seen another blue impreza there, number plate 550 LYX it's a type r version 5 limited, that Simon had to rebuild the engine and do some bodywork ?

Jay kay 12 March 2019 03:11 PM

What ever happened to the P1? do we know? I hope it ended well

Wurzel 13 March 2019 02:28 PM

Weren't those 2 cars left with API and then just abandoned in a public car park by someone called Simon without the owners knowledge?

Jay kay 13 March 2019 06:19 PM

Yes, pretty much

Yellow R 13 March 2019 07:36 PM

What a C***t that Simon is!! Needs a good one up his rear end

This fella was recommending him a few years ago on FB as Simon does/did lots of work for him. Might be worth a message to him to see if he is still in contact?
