Do you know how they took it? Surely they would need the keys? Makes me want to buy more security mods for mine.

eyes peeled !

Vxr2010 29 December 2018 10:05 AM

What area was it taken from , eyes peeled , for those worried about security , cover your vins in the windows as they use the details to get a copy of your key from subaru with forged documents , buy a tracker they are around 30 £ on ebay the trackers can sometimes be jammed but often not , and add a fuel or ignition cut out switch , don’t leave keys near front doors as they hook them with a stick , or they can on newer cars scan your keys signal and unlock your car , the best way to stop the scanning is put the keys a metal box so signal is blocked , on older classic scooby’s they don’t tend to have an immobiliser as standard so a good steering lock helps plus obviously cat 1 alarm

Sorry to hear this, thieving scum need dragging through the streets on fire.

My keys to the house/cars come to bed with me every night

alcazar 29 December 2018 10:36 AM

Aye, I was under the impression a classic won't start without the transponder key?

Smithys STI 29 December 2018 03:08 PM

My mates Impreza Type R was stolen a few years ago from the side of a road in broad daylight!!
2 scruffy looking men were seen pulling it on the the back of a flatbed lorry with the alarm sounding and no one did anything to stop them or even take the reg number...was never found!!
Hope this is found and the scum that stole it get what they deserve!!

Vxr2010 29 December 2018 03:39 PM

It looks like a jdm they lack security when they are classics and even some early new age ones like the buy eye had little or none

AT@JDM 29 December 2018 05:08 PM

Something you never think of when fitting security flatbed lorry.

silver-sub 29 December 2018 05:40 PM

Scum bags.

shaunys_gb270 29 December 2018 06:44 PM

Did it get towed away ?

RobsyUK 30 December 2018 11:43 AM

That’s the problem. If they want the car they will just drag it.
unless your neighbour knows you and calls then the people doing it will just say they are debt collectors.
it helps to keep in gear with wheels turned but even when I renewed this year they said type of alarm and tracker don’t effect the policy!!!

Vxr2010 30 December 2018 12:04 PM

At least if you have a tracker you stand a bit more chance at 30£ you have nothing to loose , plus you get the information where it is not a tracking company, you are more likely to get it back , people are even putting metal posts on their driveways or gates up , from my bad experience this year get a dash cam too , insurance company said they would have gone 50/50 with out my dash cam footage
