Impreza wrx 2001 Singke button FOB

I have recently lost my spare FOB and the one I'm using is getting a bit temperamental.
I've seen advertisements for FOB clones which copy your cars FOB code.
Has anyone bought and successfully programmed one of these for their car?
If so I would appreciate a link or pointer to which type to buy.
I have bought a cheap FOB clone (supposed to work @ 433MHz), but it does not copy my working FOB.

I do have a spare 2nd hand FOB but it isn't coded for my car and the keypad by the drivers fuse box doesn't seem to work.

Any help would be great!

Has no one used a clone fob for Subaru?
Perhaps Sigma Sam can make a comment

Sigma Sam hasn't been around for years and has now left Sigma/Toad.

Single button fob - are we talking single button key or separate fob?

Reprogramming the alarm keys/fobs is listed here http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...RemoteControls but requires a working keypad.

Impreza wrx 2001 Singke button FOB, not key

Single Button FOB, not key.
I was trying to see whether any member has successfully bought a FOB cloning device and cloned a good working FOB to make a spare?

Why not fit a new keypad?
