This is my 306 on Prescott Hillclimb a few years ago. Until a year or so ago they weren't particularly desirable but recently they've become flavour of the month and everyone seems to suddenly like them. A 306 rallye went on ebay for over £6k recently, I remember a friend buying one for £300 about 5 years ago! Anyway, they're great fun when set up well.

I had a stock 306 XSI as my first car, loved it! It taught me about lift off oversteer the hard way, but once I got the hang of it with left foot breaking and weight transfer it was so much fun. Just the reliability was kack. They‘re fun, light, good handling cars and getting rare now so I guess that‘s pushing up prices.

MK1 GOLF GTI 1800. Fantastic little pocket rocket. The amount of faster cars i could out corner and brake was amusing. Lift off oversteer that you hexagon roundabouts at great speed. It was 80s raw fun in a little package.

Always thought they were cracking looking car too.Lovely

Amazing how 70's 80's and 90's we had great looking and fun /proper cars. Bit dull nowadays. Loads of kit. on them Massive reduction in fun though

Enjoyed my Mk4 Escort RS Turbo immensely. Also the 309GTi I once had. Would have loved a 205 but insurance was too much at the time.

The most fun? My next car. Currently the Hawkeye is pretty rapid, but missing the certain something. If it let's go i'll be going so quickly....maybe it needs some ditchfinders on it.

I loved my MK2 escort, had some great times in that.
Had a Jeff Howe exhaust, which sounded awesome, had a set of Kent cams put in,
but it didn't really run right, as timing was really hard to setup, it was rapid though lol :)

Had a set of 6x9's on the back parcel shelf, and a Kenwood headunit, happy days ;)

My old Opel Manta B. It’s was only a 1.8 hatch in red, but the seats reclined all the way back and it become known as the cherry popper. God I miss that car.

Speaking of memorable motoring moments and sound systems, back in the early to mid 90's a group of us went up to the Chelsea cruise one evening, I was in a mates mk2 cavalier cdi which we had decided to pool a load of stereo equipment out of our cars into this one car before we went. I forget now how many subs and amps we piled into it but it was fooking loud!

That was until the temporary ad hock wiring that was running along the car on top of the carpet decided it would melt and smoke the car out.

Me and a group of mates try and do a ring trip every year and we take a collection of cars .But for the sheer spectacle, fun, feeling, attention. My favourite has to be the BMW 2002 Tii. It is just a handsdown winner and i've driven and been driven in many many many cars from exotics to classics. Taking this from the Midlands all the way to the ring, round the ring and driven back, several times. Just brilliant and epic in every way imaginable.

Weren’t they on Webber’s or something? Had full side graphics that made it look wider?

Very nice what power does it make? I've always liked the look of them but put off by the lack of performance - for me to make a car look that good and not make a powerful model was an utter waste. I'd never thought they could be converted.
