Bolt question
Hopefully someone can help. Our Forester has been stolen and recovered. The lock housing has been split so that the barrel fell out; and we need to remove this whole metal housing. The bolts securing it in place have smooth domed heads and there doesn't appear to be any way of accessing the other end of the bolts. Is there a way of removing them, other than drilling them out?
Thanks, Obi |
They are shear bolts, i use a hammer and centre punch to knock them round.

Thanks for that. We started by assuming they were shear off's; but the domes were very clean and didn't display the small rough patch you usually get left with after snapping off.
