Doughnut gasket For Japspeed Newage Decat

Hi
So I treated myself to a Japspeed decat pipe - https://www.japspeed.co.uk/subaru-im...-downpipe.html
Can anyone tell me wheres a decent place to buy the genuine Subaru doughnut gasket? Subaru are asking £30!!
Will the cheap ebay ones for less than a tenner work (regarding its the right size/fitment) or is it better to get a genuine Subaru one?
Thanks

Import car parts or advanced automotive are good for genuine subaru gaskets they also have ebay accounts

Just pop into your local motor factors, unless the one they sell you is made from cheese, you can't really go wrong.

Thanks for the support guys, just bought the genuine one from import car parts ebay page for £12.40
The decat pipe came with the front gasket that pairs upto the turbo... Will I be okay using that gasket or should I also try source a genuine gasket?

Also, to save me starting another thread thought I'd just ask it here but before care goes in for a remap, I will be replacing oem fuel pump with a walbro 255. Is it adviseable to replace the OEM fuel filter as well? cars currently on 65k and the fuel filter has never been changed (well no paperwork/invoices to show it has)
Cheers :)

I would use a genuine gasket for downpipe to turbo.

fuel filter, yeah change it, what year is your car?

Discover 28 November 2018 07:47 PM

Cool cheers man. Its 2007 Hawk WRX.

Gambit 28 November 2018 08:11 PM

Aye so it's the in tank filter unit than sits above the fuel pump in the tank. Pricey enough filter but would defo replace while getting pump done, false economy not to

Cool will have a look into the price of a filter.

Does anyone know the part number for the genuine Subaru front gasket that will fit the downpipe to the turbo?

Import car parts / ebay are your friends for buying them! PN is: 44022AA180 for turbo to downpipe.

I'd also recommend replacing the studs everytime as they can be a real PITA. Use only the genuine ones as they are heat treated and coated in a greenish chromate (I think), from experience others are sh&te.

PNs are:
3 qty - 800910340 - Stud (subaru dealer)
2 qty - 44059AA030 - Bolt (ICP or subaru dealer)
5 qty - 902370029 - Nut (subaru dealer)

it's a bit of hassle and extra money to get them, but trust me it's worth it!

Pretty sure they are cheaper from an actual scoobs dealership. It's like lots of things, not strictly necessary, unless it is. If they have been on there for a while you might struggle to get them off anyway and need new ones. I've had problems with cheapo/other ones either the nuts weld on or the threads bind and tear out even in the turbo casting - I've needed to helicoil a turbo because of this before! It's worth considering that most likely you will need to swap back in a cat in <year for the MOT, unless you have a very friendly MOT place...

I ran both a japspeed decat and cobra sport cat DP, and whilst there is a slight difference at my power level (~400 ish) I decided it wasn't worth the chew on every year, and I would be loathed to pay someone else to do it!

I hate the word cheap

As far as I know, besides the scoobyworld raptor tailpipe and straight through middle section, The rest of the exhaust system is Oem.
Luckily I have a friendly MOT centre so won't ever have to worry about the decat.
