F3 horrific crash

Anyone see this?
This clip seems to show the initial incident. Absolutely horrific crash. She's lucky to be alive,

Awful accident. Lassie has a broken back - 17yr old.

SmurfyBhoy 19 November 2018 11:38 AM

Proper breakdown

1.45 looks the worst

they were saying that the fact the car took off before the hard impact saved her life - it took some of the force out. They reckon that if she'd hit the tyre wall with that blunt impact, she'd probably be dead.

If it wasnt for the tower she hit, just how far would she have flown,
Has anyone heard any news about the 2 none racers that were injured?

Cheers,Tsuboi's diagnosis from hospital is 'lumbar pain for future examination'.

One marshal, Chan Cha In, suffered a laceration of the face, abrasion of his upper abdomen wall and a fractured jaw.

Photographer Chan Weng Wang was diagnosed with a liver laceration and is being observed in hospital, and fellow photographer Hiroyuki Minami suffered concussion and will also be observed.

She seemed to be going twice the speed everyone else , like the throttle had jammed fully open

I've seen one video and you can see someone had skidded into that corner previously.

An earlier collision just before the braking zone bust her front and rear left suspension, so there was no braking happening.

Lucky girl by the sounds of this

Formula 3 driver Sophia Florsch's surgery went "extremely well" and there is "no fear of paralysis", her team principal has told BBC World Service.

German Florsch, 17, fractured her spine in a high-speed crash at Sunday's Macau Grand Prix.

Doctors used bone from her hip to repair one of her vertebrae in the surgery, which lasted nearly 10 hours.

"Everything is working and everything is in order," said Van Amersfoort Racing owner Frits van Amersfoort.

Horrific, very luck to be alive as is the driver of the car she clipped making her airborne, I can't remember ever seeing a car on a circuit crashing at such speed, maybe it seemed faster than in was as everyone else was braking for the right hander but it looked like she was catapulted down the track

Does anyone still think they don't need Halos in single seaters?
