STI Hatchback clutch

I think mine is on it's way out over the last week its started to judder. It happens when changing gear whilst lifting your foot off the clutch pedal. It pulls ok still but i can only imagine its going to get worse.

The one fitted has only done around 30k and was on when i bought the car. Its a Exedy pink box anti judder clutch it feels as hard as nails. After a drive you get out the car feeling like you've done leg day at the gym:confused:

To cut a long a*s story short can anyone recommend a decent clutch and how much will i need to budget to have one supplied and fitted? My car is running 350bhp i dont do track days, but i do give it some now and then:smug:

It sounds like You need to give it some stick , don’t go mad but do a heavier than normal launch , it sounds like you have a build up of crud on the clutch plate or flywheel and a bit of stick will hopefully burn/grind it off a bit , the classics were known for this and a few launches cleared it off , clutch may smell a bit after don’t worry too much but don’t kill it lol

Thanks, i just tried that was smelly and fun lol but its still doing it:wonder:

The ACT clutch in my 2007 newage fully forged STi is brilliant, positive feel....not too heavy

give it a bit more stick over a few times , it should work out cheaper than a new clutch , i think you said it’s only 30k miles old so it should be fine and not worn out already

Carbon Competition stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel. Great package, been in about 2 months now. Really can’t fault it, after about 400 miles it drives like standard. Do not notice any difference in use even with the lightened fly wheel once you change driving style slightly but reap all the rewards of it. Think it was £600 all in.

Yes i don't really want to shell out for a new clutch this side of xmas, I'll give it another try :thumb:

£600 inc flywheel and fitting, I was expecting more than that tbh, i think i'll still start saving up just incase "Vxr2010's" trick dont work out. If it does then i have £600 to spend on other mods:)

Sorry just to clarify! That is for the C+LWF package. Fitting is separate!!!! If only it was included, it would be the sale of the century.
